Police have recovered two bloodstained machetes at a scene where the man responsible for the heinous murder of three family members and the housekeeper died by suicide.
Robert Kilel, 45, was discovered on Saturday dangling from a tree branch in the Kipkoi area of Bomet County, with blood all over his clothes.
Confirming the incident, the Bomet Central sub-county Deputy Police Commander, Ali Bashir stated that his two hands were cut in what appeared to be a scuffle with the 16-year-old son, who may have tried to fight back.
" I will urge members of the public to restrain and solve their problem amicably through alternative conflict resolution.”
A suicide note wasn't found at the scene where the body had been moved to Longisa Hospital mortuary.

This transpired after Kilel armed himself with a machete and went on a killing spree, brutally murdering four individuals –including his two children, a relative's child, and a househelp in an unnerving act of violence.
Further, Bashir told Citizen Digital that the victims comprised the man's 2-year-old daughter, 16-year-old son, 8-year-old niece, and 16-year-old house help.
"The man went to his residence while his wife was in Silibwet town. He was armed with a Maasai machete and immediately pounced on his daughter slashing her under the cheek," he said.
"He proceeded to kill his niece similarly before inflicting multiple cuts on the househelp. The 16-year-old boy attempted to flee but Kilel caught up with him."
