The family of a Grade 8 student who died under mysterious circumstances at Joy Gardens Primary School in Umoja is calling on the police to look into the case and deliver justice.
Stella Wanjiru, the mother of Wesley Njiru, requested clarity on the exact time the incident occurred, citing the school's reluctance to share this critical information.
"Why was I called at 8.30p.m to take the child to hospital instead of the school taking him to the hospital? We want to know the exact time the incident happened as the school has been evasive on the exact time," she posed.

"Why did they call at 8.30 p.m. when they knew the boy had passed away, and when I arrived at school, they Ignored me until 11.00 p.m.?" she posed.
The family disputes the school's account of the deceased falling from the school's 7th-floor rooftop and landing on the balcony, stating that they conducted their investigation at the alleged scene and determined that the boy could not have fallen from that location based on the injuries described in his postmortem report.
"Further, the pathologist report details injuries that are inconsistent with the height the child Is alleged to have fallen from," Wanjiru said in a statement.
The family also expressed concerns about Anthony Kimani Mwangi, who allegedly interrogated the deceased before his death despite not being employed at the school, requesting answers regarding the nature, timing, and location of the interrogation, as well as whether sexual abuse occurred.
The family wants to know who ordered the interrogation and why Mwangi fled the scene after their son died.
They also questioned why the school did not immediately transport the deceased to the hospital following the incident and who among the school staff pronounced the youngster dead, given that the police were notified of his death before their arrival.
