A suspect who is being sought by Transmara police is said to have assisted in the horrific killing of two correctional officers in Metinkuar village.
Together, they set out to resolve a Sacco-related dispute with the primary suspect, a retired colleague.
Since then, four people have been taken into custody for the horrific incident, and a multi-agency team has been assembled to search Transmara West in an attempt to apprehend Pius Lemiso Ndiwa, the primary suspect.
The two deceased individuals, identified as Inspector Patrick Mukunyi Kuya and Senior Sergent Daniel Nairimo, departed Nairobi on Wednesday to resolve a matter related to Sacco involving Ndiwa. Ndiwa had defaulted on a loan and relocated to the countryside.

When they arrived at Ndiwa's homestead in Mentinkuar, the suspect's family yelled at them. It seems that Ndiwa had informed his family that the two strangers living on their homestead were criminals.
With that knowledge, Ndiwa's two sons charged at the two prison wardens, who were clad in civilian clothes and brandishing machetes and arrows.
“We arrived at the scene and we found two bodies badly mutilated, one had three arrows lodged on his back and the other had deep cuts on his back,” Kilgoris OCPD Jamleck Ngaruiya said.
Although Ndiwa's wife asserts that her husband was not present during the incident, it is still unknown when he turned off his phone.
Transmara West OCPD Jamleck Ngaruiya stated, "We believe we will get the suspect. We have activated a multi-agency team combing the area."
The ugly incident has left the villagers of Metinkuar in complete disbelief and shock. A multi-agency team is currently pursuing the main suspect, who is still at large.
