One person has been arrested for impersonating a Kenya Power and Lighting Company (KPLC) officer in Kuria West, Migori County.
According to the authorities, a KPLC meter and a customer user interface were recovered from the suspect, Emmanuel Mukira Mosabi.
Confirming the incident, Migori County acting manager Moses Rotich said the suspect was arrested after members of the public raised the alarm.
“He went round claiming to be an officer from Kenya Power who had been deployed to resolve an issue,” Rotich said.
Rotich said the suspect is in police custody and waiting to be arraigned.
