Police in the US state of Illinois have reported that a man went on a stabbing spree at several addresses, leaving four people, including an adolescent girl, dead and at least five injured.
According to a statement from Rockford city police, the stabbings happened on Wednesday afternoon, and they detained a 22-year-old suspect.
There was no mention of a potential motive in the statement. It is roughly ninety miles northwest of Chicago to find Rockford.
The police reported that the deceased included two men, ages 22 and 49, a woman, 63, and a 15-year-old girl.
