A family is demanding an exhaustive probe to unravel the mystery behind the murder of their 13-year-old girl in Satima village in Nyeri County.
Stella Wambui is believed to have been waylaid by an unknown assailant as she headed back home from a party at her grandparents’ home on Monday evening.
Wambui’s attacker then raped her before dumping the minor’s body, bearing visible injuries on the ear a few kilometers away from her home.
The attacker ripped Wambui’s clothes, pointing to a possible struggle.
Confirming the incident Kieni West police boss Samuel Ndegwa said the victim, who had arrived at her grandparents’ home in the company of her mother, left on a different route at about 6pm.
