Noah Oluoch Oketch, the ICT manager and finance manager for the Rural Electrification and Renewable Energy Corporation, was taken into custody.
Oketch was detained, according to the Ethics and Anti-Corruption Commission (EACC), for allegedly using fake academic credentials to get a job at the organization.
The suspect will be charged in Milimani. He is being held for processing at the EACC police station.
The Rural Electrification and Renewable Energy Corporation is one of the organizations where the anti-graft body has reported cases of forged professional and academic credentials.

In a letter sent last month, EACC advised the Head of Public Service and all accounting officers in the civil service not to provide benefits to departing civil servants who have falsified professional certificates and academic transcripts.
Simultaneously, the EACC filed a court request to seize more than 100 properties and numerous cars that belonged to a former Principal Land Registrar stationed in Thika and were allegedly obtained through illegal means.
