Police officers have arrested the leader of the notorious Kibokoni Panga Boys, who have terrorized the people of the Kibokoni district in Mombasa.
Abdulkadir Mohamed was taken into custody on Sunday evening while watching a football match in the Kibokoni district by police from Mombasa's Central Police Station acting on intelligence.
The suspect was discovered with a panga hidden in his trousers, the first sign that he was a member of the group that had hurt individuals.

The arrest happened months after the suspect and his brother, Hassan Noor, were recorded on camera terrorizing Kibokoni locals.
The two were apprehended in October 2023 after assaulting people, leaving one with significant machete injuries.
The incident was reported to the same police, but it took police several months to locate the suspect.
