Police officers in Kangemi have arrested two men who had 16 bales of bhang stashed in their travel bags.

According to police reports, the suspects, Samuel Okello and Antony Omingo, had carried the drugs from Kakamega and were intending to sell them in the city. DCI claims that they received a tip about the drugs and coordinated to arrest the suspects.

"Two suspects of trafficking in narcotics were early this morning ejected from a Nairobi-bound matatu from Busia at the Kangemi flyover, and from them, 16 bales of bhang stashed in their travel bags seized." they posted 

"The arrest of the two, Samuel Okello and Antony Omingo, followed a #FichuakwaDCI tip from public members, indicating the presence of the illicit cargo at the Trippin Shuttle Sacco matatu they were traveling in." they added.

The suspects have been handed over to Anti-Narcotics detectives based at DCI headquarters for further processing.
