Police officers in Migori are on the hunt for a 25-year-old man accused of allegedly murdering his 19-year-old wife, Akoth Onyango, in Kadika village after a domestic dispute.

According to Suna East Sub-County Police Commander Reuben Kemboi, Onyango's body was discovered in a bush a few kilometers from their home

Kemboi stated that the deceased had neck injuries, indicating strangulation by the prime suspect, identified as Asman Ouma. Police are currently investigating the circumstances surrounding the incident.

According to the suspect's brother, Elvis Omondi, Ouma called him on Tuesday morning, confessing to killing his wife of six months. Omondi revealed that Ouma also informed the family about where he had dumped the body and hinted at his intention to commit suicide, promising to disclose the location of his own body.

Omondi added that Ouma and Onyango had left home for a walk on Tuesday evening but never returned. Authorities are now piecing together the events that led to this tragic incident.
