Jeff Mwathi's girlfriend, Faith Wairimu took the stand today to recount her final conversation with him just moments before his death.
According to Wairimu, Jeff sent her a video around 3:45 a.m., showing himself with DJ Fatxo at Fatxo’s house. She testified that, on the night before his death, Jeff had called to tell her that DJ Fatxo had treated him to Heineken beers at Quiver Lounge and that they were heading to Fatxo’s home afterward.
Wairimu emphasized to the court that Jeff had never shown suicidal tendencies, whether sober or intoxicated. She also described him as truthful, noting that in their three-year relationship, she never experienced any infidelity.
She further testified that Jeff did not return home after visiting Fatxo’s house. The next morning, when she attempted to call him, his phone was turned off.
“At around 3 pm Mutanu called me and asked me whether Jeff came home the previous night and then I told her that she’s the one who should be answering that question because they were with Jeff at Fatxo’s house.” Narrated the girlfriend.

It was at this time that she told court that she sensed something fishy because it was the first time Jeff had gone missing and his phone turned off for such a long duration.
“I then called Jeff’s brother, and told him to go to the house and confirm whether Jeff came back. He went to the house but did not find Jeff.” Said the girlfriend.
According to the girlfriend, Mutanu told her that DJ Fatxo claimed there was some chaos in the house after Jeff started shouting saying that Samindo was his uncle.
Mutanu told me that DJ Fatxo went to Kasarani Police station to report Jeff as a missing person .
She said when she called DJ Fatxo he told her that police officers from Kasarani police station will be calling her but she insisted that he tells her where Jeff was he declined.
It was her testimony that the next day Jeff’s mother called her and told her that Jeff was dead.
