Detectives in Ruiru have apprehended two suspected drug traffickers in possession of cocaine and multiple rolls of bhang.
The suspects, identified as Anthony Ndirangu Wanjiku and Sabiri Kalicha, were arrested at a petrol station near the Eastern Bypass.
Authorities revealed that the suspects were part of a drug trafficking ring operating in Nairobi and parts of Kiambu County. According to investigators, the duo had parked their Toyota Vanguard, registration number KCG 650T, at the location while waiting to sell the illegal substances to a buyer.
During the search, officers recovered nine pellets of cocaine weighing approximately 180 grams and several rolls of bhang. Detectives disclosed that the suspects were selling the cocaine at Ksh. 2,800 per gram, with an estimated profit of Ksh. 504,000 from the planned sale.

The two suspects remain in police custody as they await arraignment in court. Meanwhile, authorities are actively pursuing additional accomplices linked to the drug trafficking network.
This arrest comes as Kenya continues its crackdown on illegal drugs and other criminal activities across the country.
