Detectives from the Directorate of Criminal Investigations (DCI) have apprehended three individuals accused of killing a bar security guard and stealing alcoholic beverages valued at Ksh.26,000 from a local establishment.
The first suspect, identified as 31-year-old Festus Odhiambo, also known as Arum, was arrested in Migori County. His alleged accomplices, Thomas Momanyi Omenta (31) and Grace Kerubo Oseko (26), were later nabbed in Kisii township.
Key evidence, including blood-stained clothing linked to Odhiambo and stolen mobile phones found with the other suspects, was recovered by the authorities.

The incident occurred at Engako Bar in Nyachenge Trading Center, Kisii County. The suspects allegedly attacked a 22-year-old security guard with crude weapons, leaving him fatally injured before breaking into the bar and fleeing with alcohol worth Ksh.26,000.
The local chief of the Tabaka area reported the incident to the authorities, prompting an immediate manhunt that led to the arrests.
Investigators discovered that the suspects had been patrons at the bar on the night of the crime, a detail confirmed during an identification parade where regular customers recognized them.
The suspects are currently held at Nyamarambe Police Station under a miscellaneous application as investigations continue.
