Detectives from the Directorate of Criminal Investigations (DCI) in Kibra have arrested Brian Otieno Maurice, identified as the main suspect in the brutal murder of Sospeter Osunga, popularly known as Akoko the Billionaire.
The tragic incident occurred on November 18, 2024.
According to investigators, Osunga was attacked by a group of individuals in the Ayani area, suffering severe injuries to his back, allegedly caused by a sharp weapon.
"Investigations have revealed that on the fateful day, Osunga was fatally attacked by a gang of hoodlums in Ayani area where he sustained fatal wounds on his back, believed to have been caused by a sharp object." said DCI
"Following thorough investigations, three individuals were initially arrested and provided crucial information which coupled with other intelligence leads resulted to the apprehension of the main suspect who is set to be arraigned in court today." said DCI
The DCI urged the public to foster peace and avoid resorting to violence, emphasizing the importance of harmonious coexistence in communities.
