A family in Kirinyaga County is grappling with the devastating loss of their 13-year-old daughter, who was brutally murdered. The young girl, a Grade 7 student, left the family compound around 10:00 AM and was later discovered lifeless in a nearby coffee farm.
According to authorities, the victim was sexually assaulted before being strangled to death. A piece of cloth found around her neck supports this, and evidence suggests the body was dragged from the crime scene. Blood was observed oozing from her ears and nose, and her underwear was missing.
The police have transported the body to the Kirinyaga County Referral Hospital mortuary and are actively investigating this horrific crime.
