Police in Juja, Kiambu County, are detaining a 20-year-old Ugandan woman accused of stabbing her 23-year-old boyfriend to death in Mastore on Monday, January 20, 2024.

The suspect, identified as Cynthia Nakato, a barmaid, allegedly inflicted at least seven stab wounds on her partner, Peter Macharia, resulting in his death.

According to a police report, Macharia sustained multiple deep cuts on his right arm. His body was later transported to Thika General Kago Mortuary, where a post-mortem examination is expected to confirm the exact cause of death.

Juja Police Commander Jackson Sang described the attack as brutal, confirming that the victim had been stabbed more than seven times.

Sang urged young couples to adopt peaceful conflict resolution methods, warning of the devastating consequences of resorting to violence.

Nakato is currently in custody at Juja Police Station as authorities continue their investigations into the incident.
