A tragic family dispute in Mochokoret village ended in the death of a 40-year-old man after his two younger brothers allegedly stabbed him during a heated argument over dinner.

According to the Directorate of Criminal Investigations (DCI), a simple disagreement quickly escalated into violence. The two brothers, Duncan Kiptoo Singo'ei (27) and Kelvin Kiplimo Singo'ei (25), allegedly attacked their elder sibling, Emmanuel Kiplagat Singo'ei, fatally stabbing him.

Their 70-year-old father, devastated by the incident, desperately tried to revive his son before calling medical professionals from Plateau Mission Hospital. Unfortunately, upon arrival, doctors confirmed Kiplagat had succumbed to his injuries.

Law enforcement officers investigating the scene recovered key evidence, including the suspected murder weapon—a kitchen knife—and a blood-stained T-shirt. The two suspects were taken into custody and are set to face legal proceedings in court.

This shocking case has left the local community in mourning, highlighting the devastating impact of domestic conflicts.
