Authorities in Kisumu are searching for a woman suspected of fatally stabbing another in a tragic incident linked to an alleged love triangle in the Nyamasaria area of Kisumu East Sub-County.

The suspect, identified as Rosemary Achieng, also known as *Mama Boy*, allegedly confronted the victim, Brenda Awuor, near a boda boda base at Butter Toast stage, where she was reportedly speaking with the suspect’s husband.

According to police reports, Achieng, armed with a kitchen knife, stabbed Awuor multiple times in the chest before fleeing the scene. Tragically, the 30-year-old victim succumbed to excessive bleeding.

Investigations indicate that Awuor owned an M-Pesa shop close to the boda boda stage where Achieng’s husband, John Ayima, worked. Witnesses, including fellow boda boda operators, claim that Ayima and the deceased had been involved in an extramarital affair, which may have triggered the attack.

Law enforcement officers have launched a manhunt for Achieng, who remains at large. Meanwhile, the victim’s body has been taken to the Jaramogi Oginga Odinga Teaching and Referral Hospital morgue as investigations continue.
