Authorities in Kadibo Sub-County are actively searching for a 19-year-old female student accused of fatally stabbing her 41-year-old uncle in Ong’eche, Katho Sub-Location.

The shocking incident reportedly stemmed from the uncle’s repeated drunken misconduct, which had long been a source of distress for the family. According to Katho Location Chief Hesbon Nyabanda, the deceased had a history of harassing his stepmother, who is also the suspect’s grandmother.

The teenager, a Form Four student at a local secondary school, lived with her elderly grandmother. The altercation occurred when her uncle returned home intoxicated and allegedly began troubling the elderly woman. Tensions escalated further when he attempted to seize maize flour from the grandmother’s house.

In a fit of anger, the student is said to have grabbed a knife and stabbed him in the chest. The injury proved fatal, and he died at the scene due to excessive bleeding.

Following the incident, the suspect fled and remains at large as police intensify their search. Meanwhile, the victim’s body has been taken to Ahero Sub-County Hospital mortuary for an autopsy.
