Police have arrested three suspects believed to be behind a wave of violent robberies targeting businesspeople in Ngong and its surrounding areas.
The suspects were nabbed on Monday in a joint intelligence-led operation spearheaded by the Officer Commanding Station (OCS) of Ngong Police Station, in collaboration with officers from Limuru Police Station.
According to police reports, two of the suspects Washington Mise Imbaiza and Dennis Osaji were tracked and arrested in Bibirioni, Limuru. The third suspect, identified as James Mwangi alias “Chairman,” was later arrested in Kawangware.
During a search at Washington's residence, officers recovered a Ceska pistol (serial number B619333) loaded with 14 rounds of ammunition. Other items retrieved included motorcycle helmets, face masks, and plastic zip ties items believed to have been used during the robberies.
Investigations reveal that the suspects were targeting business owners on their way home, ambushing them at gunpoint, and escaping using motorcycles or the victims’ vehicles.

Police have confirmed that a fourth suspect, believed to be armed and dangerous, is still at large. A manhunt is currently underway.
