On Wednesday night, a policeman assigned to the Mandera Border Patrol Unit was struck and killed near the Sotik region of the Bomet-Kisii route.
Before being struck from behind by an unidentifiable car, the officer was riding a motorcycle, according to Bomet County Police Commandant Mathews Mangira.
The cop, who was riding alone at the time of the incident, allegedly suffered significant head and chest injuries and passed away immediately, according to witnesses from the public.

The head of the Bomet Police Department further stated that there was a determination whether or not the officer was off duty at the time.
Traffic officials from the Sotik Police Station towed the severely damaged motorcycle inside, where they took statements from bystanders.
At the same time, Mr Mangira stated that a probe had started to find the incident's implicated automobile.
The deceased's body is at the mortuary of the Kapkatet hospital.
