Police are seeking a man in his 60s in Migori on suspicion of exhuming his sister-in-remains, law's who was laid to rest over 12 years ago.

Three years ago, the man and his wife, Monica Adhiambo, split up due to disputes within the family.

He is then accused of exhuming his sister-in-law Joan Apondi's body, which was buried on his property and abandoned at Adhiambo's door.

Adhiambo, who rents a home at Kakaro Trading Center in Suna East Sub County, told Ramogi FM on Thursday that she was inside the house when the suspect dumped the body parts in a sack in front of her home.

Adhiambo claimed that because her ex-husband had previously visited her and threatened to bring her sister's remains if she didn't accept his offer of reconciliation, she was aware that he had these plans.

She claimed that the man agreed with his in-laws so that her late sister, who was not married, might be buried in their house.

The mother of the dead, Mr Susan Otieno, stated that she awaits the police's direction and is willing to bury her daughter's bones on her property.

Mr Joel Amwenya, the assistant location head for Kakaro North, stated that an investigation is underway.
