A 30-year-old man in thika has been charged for allegedly sodomizing a 21-year-old man on different occasions between 2020 and 2021
Simon Nderitu Mwangi was arranged at the thika law courts accused of two sexual offences of rape and sexually harassing the victim on different dates at Ndarasha village in Juja constituency.
Appearing before Chief Magistrate Stella Atambo, the accused denied the first charge but pleaded guilty to the second charge. Medical examinations on the victim indicated that the victim, who was a student at the time of the incident, had injuries around his anus.
Nderitu confessed to the court that he has homosexual tendencies and should not be judged because he is attracted to the male gender as opposed to the female gender.
“Why am I being crucified for my sexual preference?” He paused a rhetorical question to Atambo before he unfolded how they regularly meet in groups.
The accused was not shy to give details on how homosexuals interact with each other on the internet, adding that some high school students attend their meetings. Court report indicates that the accused was introduced to the victim's family as a man of God, but his plan was to groom the minor and later assault him.
nderitu would later woe the victim with gifts and money and later abuse him. the case will be returned to the thika law courts for another hearing on the 3rd of April 2023.
In other news, residents in Kakamega county woke up to the shock of the body of a missing woman discovered buried in a shallow grave at the neighbour's compound.
The neighbour who resides in kitengela kajiado county had gone home because he was building a house there. They discovered the skull and bones of the woman as they were harvesting sand for the ongoing construction. the body was taken to the Kakamega referral home as an investigation into the matter continued
