A man in Uganda was arrested on sexual assault charges after filming himself with a teenage girl at a lodge and uploading the video to TikTok.

According to Police Spokesperson Fred Enanga, Joseph Ngoma allegedly committed the act in a Mubende District institution.

He was caught later in Kitintale, Kampala.

Enanga informed the press that the teenager departed home on May 4, 2023, aboard Ngoma's boda boda for coaching when the rider diverted to his home under the guise of picking up some personal items.

"Instead, the suspect obtained a room and enticed the victim to assist him in transporting some of his property." The victim was taken into the lodge, where the suspect videotaped her inside, referring to her as his wife. He then defiled the woman and urged her to return home, according to a police spokesperson.

The video quickly went viral and prompted debate on social media after Ngoma posted it four days later.

According to the Monitor, the victim's mother viewed the footage and called the police.

Enanga reportedly stated that the lodge attendant was arrested for assisting in defilement.
