The Nakuru County DCI is presently looking for Maina Njenga, the former leader of the Mungiki sect, in connection with the discovery of two firearms and a large amount of cannabis at a property related to him.
Officers nabbed eight people aged 37 to 54 during a raid in Ngomongo village, Dundori ward.
The search turned up over 90 rolls of bhang, and it also turned up three rounds of 9mm blank ammo hidden within one of the apartments.
Among the firearms seized was a handmade pistol that could shoot ammo and a Tokarev handgun with a defaced serial number.
