According to reports, a police constable assigned to Bondo Police Station in Siaya County shot himself dead on Friday after a domestic dispute with his wife, whom he allegedly shot and injured before turning the pistol on himself.
Bondo Sub-county Police Commander Ibrahim Kosi confirmed the incident, telling Citizen Digital that the deceased officer, Michael Kyalo, arrived at work as usual and was given a rifle. Instead of going to his assigned post, Kyalo went to his house, where the incident occurred.

Kosi explained that they had an unfortunate incident this morning in which one of his officers, Michael Kyalo, shot himself. He was given a firearm to go to work, but he returned to his residence, where we believe he argued with his wife before shooting her. "He then shot himself in the head," Kosi explained.
Kyalo's wife, who was shot in the buttocks, is being treated at Bondo Sub-County Hospital, while the deceased's body has been taken to the morgue at the same institution.
The investigation into the shooting incident is still ongoing.
