On Thursday morning along Nairobi's Outering road, a lorry struck a car that the traffic police officer was inspecting, causing him to pass away.
A few minutes after the officer stopped the car to inspect its stickers, he was unfortunately hit to death by the lorry. The officer passed away while being taken to the hospital, according to Francis Kamau, the commander of the Buru Buru sub-county police.
According to the police chief, the lorry driver who caused the accident has been detained and is assisting authorities with their ongoing investigation.
The two vehicles were brought to Buru Buru police station, and the officer's body was transferred to the mortuary.
