A video on social media shows a Gucci store in Century City, California, being looted by nine males on Monday, July 31, 2023. According to the Los Angeles Police Department (LAPD), the grab-and-dash occurred around 3:10 p.m. inside a Westfield Century City Mall store.
The video shows nine hoodie men rushing out of the Gucci store, carrying multiple things, while the security guard stands helplessly by. As he sprints out the doors, one of the robbers is seen gathering the stuff dropped by those ahead of him. A man who appeared to work at the store was heard dialling 911.
According to a law enforcement spokesperson, the suspects fled in a white SUV and a red Kia. However, the total worth of the stolen products has yet to be disclosed.
