Police in Murang’a are looking for a father accused of killing his two children, aged 3 and 7, by slitting their throats in Ndikwe Mugo wa Nyoni village in Kiharu.

According to Citizen. Digital, in a police report, officers dispatched to the scene discovered that 28-year-old Evans Kang'ethe had killed his two children with a sharp object.

The officers also learned that the mother of the two dead children, the suspect's wife, had left her marital home a week before the tragedy because of an unclear marital conflict.

The reason for the homicide is still unknown, even though authorities are gathering evidence that could result in the suspect's capture.

In anticipation of an autopsy, the children's bodies were sent to the Muranga Level 5 Hospital mortuary.
