Prosecutors in France charged a man with murder after his 7-year-old son was discovered in the family apartment's bath, bruised and half frozen, prosecutors said Sunday.
The boy's body was discovered on Thursday in the southern city of Perpignan. According to regional prosecutor Jean-David Cavaille, the father, 28, has been detained pending trial.
The father has also been charged with the attempted murder of his two kids, ages three and four. Meanwhile, the boy's uncle, 33, and grandmother, 61, both from his father's side, have been charged with failure to report a crime.
They have not been remanded in detention but placed under judicial supervision.
