Police officers in Kayole are investigating the death of a two-year-old child who was allegedly beaten to death by her parents for refusing to eat.
According to witnesses, the child, who had noticeable bruises on her body, was brought to a local clinic. She was then referred to Mama Lucy Hospital but died before arriving.
neighbors say that the child's birth mother passed on and her father brought in a stepmother.
"They beat up the child because he refused to eat." "It wasn't the first time they did that," the couple's neighbor, Gladys Wamboi, said.
The pair have been arrested. Police in the region have stated that they are launching an inquiry.
