Kapsabet High School has announced that the winner of the annual Mathematics contest champion will get a scholarship to study in Australia courtesy of Grace International Migration.

The 20th edition of the Annual mathematics contest, whose main objective is to create an avenue for learners to showcase their prowess in the subject and boost their confidence in maths, is set to take place this weekend on Saturday at the school ground.

According to the Institution’s Head of the Maths Department, Oliver Toroitich, the contest will provide a forum for interactions and exchanging ideas.

He said each school is requested to present a team of ten participants in every class, that is F1, F2, F3, and F4.

“The school may register as many teams as possible. Registration fee is Kes2, 500 per team. The results and awards will be presented the same day,” he said.

According to him, a second student would also receive a scholarship to study a Diploma course of own choice at Strathmore University courtesy of Strathmore University.

Other awards include a whole year’s school fees for the top student in every class, from the Day schools’ category and trophies to Best Boys’ School, Best Girls School, best-mixed boarding School and Best School overall.

To cap it all, individual prizes will be given to the top students in each category of schools, including boys’ schools, girls’ schools, mixed boarding schools and day schools.
