Nominated Member of Parliament Sabina Chege has lost her position as the minority whip in the 13th parliament after a motion filed by Chege in a Kiambu Court to challenge Azimio la Umoja's decision to remove her from the position was thrown out.
Embakasi West MP Mark Muriithi Mwenje is set to take over the position from the nominated member of parliament."We now demand that the Speaker, Moses Wetangula ratifies the decision to allow Hon. Mark Mwenje to serve," a statement by Jubilee Party read in part.
