In an interview with Oga Obinna, MC Jessy reflected on a pivotal moment in his career. He fondly recalled the initial occasion when he garnered a substantial sum of money on an advertisement job.

The comedian recounted that his journey commenced with a role in an advertising campaign, wherein he played the part of a pilot for Panadol Extra. The audition turned out to be an eye-opener, prompting him to take a chance on it. Upon successfully landing the role, he received a paycheck of Shs160,000, which was a significant amount for him at that juncture.

Jessy's patience was put to the test as he waited for his payment, which ultimately took 45 days to arrive. Once he had his earnings in hand, he made the journey to Rehema House in Nairobi to open his inaugural bank account with Equity Bank.


After completing the necessary deposits, he experienced a newfound sense of financial stability and decided to indulge in a meal consisting of a whole chicken, sausage, and a Fanta soda.

"The firts one nilifanya advert ya kuact kama pilot ilikuwa ya Panadol Extra. Niliskia tu watu wanaenda audition nikaeda" said Jesse.

"Nikaona vile wanafanya nikaingia nika act. Nikachukuliwa nikalipwa Sh160,000. Zilikuja after 45 days," he added.

The Panadol Extra advertisement marked a pivotal moment in Jessy's career. His immense exposure propelled him into the spotlight, establishing him as a well-known figure in the entertainment industry.
