Kenyan comedian and performer Eric Omondi has shown his altruism by planning a fundraising event for Mama Mary, a six-year-old single mother.

Askaris, the city council, has been harassing Mama Mary, a disabled mother of six children, one of whom was adopted.

To improve the woman's life, Eric Omondi organized his social media followers to raise money.

He uploaded a video showing the county Askaris dragging Mama Mary to the ground amid the city of Nairobi's crackdown on vendors.

Eric Omondi encouraged his social media followers to donate money to Mama Mary by going live yesterday. He stated early today that he had already received Ksh 817,000 and asked people to keep sending money.
