Maryanne Mudavadi, the daughter of Prime Minister CS Musalia Mudavadi, and her husband Nyaga Karanja tied the knot in a colorful wedding ceremony on Saturday, two months after their "ruracio" ceremony in Mululu, Vihiga.

At St. Austins Catholic Church, the couple exchanged vows with friends, family, and, of course, the most influential people in Kenyan politics.

The bride stood out in her lace-sleeved, mermaid-inspired wedding gown, while the groom dressed to impress in a black and white tuxedo with silk lapels.

While the guests wore "comfortable weekend-wear," the bridesmaids and groomsmen wore floor-length, off-the-shoulder gowns in black tuxedos and salmon, respectively.

"Today, I joined my brother, Musalia Mudavadi to celebrate the wedding of their children; Maryane Musalia, the daughter of Prime Cabinet Secretary Hon Musalia W Mudavadi, and her longtime lover,Nyaga Karanja, at St. Austin Catholic Church, Msongari," National Assembly Speaker and a longtime friend of the Mudavadi's wrote on X. 

"Love is the beautiful friendship that has ignited into a passionate flame, and I wish for your love to remain resilient and vibrant,filled with endless laughter and joy."

Wetangula also posted a few pictures from the exquisite ceremony, one of which showed CS Mudavadi and his wife Tessie, dressed in a two-piece navy blue suit and matching headwrap, walking their daughter down the aisle with a beaming expression on their faces.

Among those present were Majority Leader Kimani Ichungwa, Kirinyaga Governor Anne Waiguru, Defence Cabinet Secretary Aden Duale, Public Service Cabinet Secretary Moses Kuria, and Roads Cabinet Secretary Kipchumba Murkomen.


"Earlier today, I joined the family and friends of Prime Cabinet Secretary, H.E Hon Musalia W Mudavadi during the wedding of his daughter Marryanne Mudavadi at St. Austin's Catholic Church in Nairobi," CS Kuria captioned a pretty bunch of photos from the ceremony in a post on X. 

The newlyweds received nothing but positive remarks from the guests, with Cooperatives Cabinet Secretary Simon Chelugui heavily quoting Genesis in his photo caption.


"Then the Lord God made a woman from the rib he had taken out of the man, and he brought her to the man," wrote Chelugui. 

"The man said: This is now the bone of my bones and the flesh of my flesh; she shall be called 'woman,' for she was taken out of man,"

"That is why a man leaves his father and mother and is united to his wife, and they become one flesh. ~Genesis 2: 22-24."
