Tanzanian bongo player Diamond Platnumz, who declared he had purchased a private jet in 2022, has disclosed why he has yet to take to the skies in it.

The musician revealed that, due to his plans going awry and his jet needing to arrive when scheduled, he now hires private jets whenever he wants to travel.

Diamond revealed that when he purchased his private jet, he was duped out of an incredible Ksh 240,591 200 million (Tsh 4 billion).

Diamond claims that he was tricked by a representative helping him purchase a private jet.

"I had bought a very big plane, but they conned me about Tsh 4 billion," he told Wasafi Media.

He continued by saying that the Tanzanian authorities were investigating the situation and that he had reported the con artist.

"The government knows, if you are conned that amount of money you would go crazy."

Diamond added that he has started being paid in installments.

"They have started paying. I expected the jet to land here in August last year but by the end of the year, it was not yet here. They disrespected me because they made me look like i had announced fake news."


The musician revealed that by year's end, he planned to purchase a private jet.

This followed his realization of his dream to purchase a private island in Zanzibar.
