Kenyan artist Ssaru wa Manyaru, 21, has stirred up controversy by disclosing the substantial price a man must pay a woman to become his spouse.
The Kaskie Vibaya hitmaker stated in an interview with Plug TV that her dowry is one billion dollars, and anything less will be accepted.
The musician continued by saying that she is not in a rush to get married and that her dowry may rise over time.
"Let me tell you, I want to tell my current bae, but of course, I don't want to get married right now. I want to wait a couple of years. But every year, the amount increases; it's like a billion shillings, just like that."
