The comedian talked about how his mother didn't encourage him to pursue comedy as a career.

"My mother told me when she saw me on Churchill show that I should go away and that she should never see me there."

Mtumishi continued, saying that because his mother did not encourage him, she did not think he had appeared on television.
"She did not support me at any way. She used to say I was making noise in the house. She was told by neighbors that I would end up a mad person. They did not understand that I was talented. My mother disowned me and I don't regret not visiting her."
The comedian disclosed that he hadn't spoken to his mother two years ago.
"Let me just speak the truth. My mother...even if she dies today, I won't feel anything. As a child, you might miss your mother and feel the urge to visit her; for the last two years, I have not talked with her. I don't pick up her calls. I have messages and missed calls in my phone I can show."
Mitsubishi claims that his mother mistreated him and even ruined their marriage because she didn't like his wife. He even said she was trying to destroy the marriage with witchcraft.
Thinking back on his arduous journey, he also revealed that his father, who works at Royal Media, refused to pay for the bus fare to the auditions and was not encouraging either.
Mchungaji and Mtumishi belong to a collective known as Kreative Generations. The Churchill Show helped the two comedians become well-known.
