Pastor T. Mwangi has shared details of his life before he was saved, including instances of reckless behavior and HIV/AIDS contacts.

A fight broke out in a club one Christmas, sending an alcohol bottle smashing into the wall. Mwangi was there. The bottle miraculously missed him, an occurrence he fully credits to God's guardianship.

Mwangi had sex with a woman who later passed away from HIV/AIDS during that same time frame. He thinks back to the melancholy moment of burying her, a clear reminder of his reckless actions.

Following their relationship, Mwangi and another woman had yet another tragic event. He was told that his partner's sugar daddy, who also died of the illness, had also infected her.

Even after these terrifying experiences, Mwangi didn't think he was HIV positive. He played a game with his friends the next Valentine's Day in which the winner would receive a gift from a specific woman. It wasn't until after Mwangi triumphed that he realized he had avoided contracting HIV.

Mwangi, overcome with thankfulness, went for a voluntary counseling and testing (VCT) and was amazingly found to be HIV-negative. He attributes his survival exclusively to divine providence.

Mwangi's story is a potent illustration of the transforming potential of faith and the steadfast protection of God… so he says. His transformation from a carefree life to one filled with spiritual fulfillment serves as an example for everyone looking for atonement and heavenly direction.
