Rumors circulating online have suggested that controversial socialite Amber Ray and her fiancé Kennedy Rapudo were forcibly removed from their Kilimani apartment allegations that Amber Ray has refuted.

The information surfaced through the revelations of online tea master Edgar Obare, who claimed that the couple faced eviction due to outstanding rent payments.

He went on to assert

that the apartment, which allegedly cost Kshs 270,000 per month, was now available for anyone willing to pay, suggesting that the couple faced challenges in meeting this financial obligation.

Edgar Obare's revelation sparked significant reactions from netizens, many of whom expressed surprise and some skepticism. Critics took the opportunity to mock Kennedy Rapudo and Amber Ray for showcasing a lavish lifestyle while reportedly facing difficulties in meeting their rent payments, a fact unbeknownst to many.

Shortly after Edgar Obare's post, Amber Ray has responded to share her perspective on the situation.

The voluptuous mother of two clarified that she and her partner were not, in fact, evicted from the apartment as claimed. She emphasized that this alleged eviction was not the reason for their recent breakup a few weeks ago.

The socialite clarified that the decision to leave the apartment was entirely voluntary. According to Amber Ray, she moved out in the middle of the month, possibly amid personal issues, and Kennedy Rapudo followed suit later.

In fact, Amber Ray explained that the flamboyant businessman opted to move out because he saw no reason to reside alone in a 5-bedroom house.

To dispel any notion of financial struggles related to rent, Amber Ray proudly asserted that they currently pay more rent in their respective new residences than they did in the Kilimani apartment, emphasizing that the combined amounts surpass the previous rent.

"Firstly Ken and I separated because of our differences, not because we couldn't keep our house afloat. And it certainly wasn't a clout chase.

I do not clout chase, especially not with very personal matters. Despite most people are already aware of what happened, it is still a private matter and it is one that is being sorted out".

"Second, the rent was never an issue. I moved out mid month and Ken did a while after. It would make no sense for him to stay in a 5 bedroom house alone.

That said, the rent for both our current apartments combined far exceed the rent we used to pay in that house. So we never had arrears and were not kicked out".
