Tanzanian singer Vanessa Mdee and her husband Rotimi are savoring a joyous reunion as a couple after three years. The duo is currently relishing a kid-free vacation at a beach destination, coinciding with the celebration of Rotimi's birthday on November 30th.

Vanessa and Rotimi, proud parents of two children, a son named Seven Adeoluwa Akinosho and a daughter named Imani Enioluwa Akinosho, are seizing this opportunity to unwind and enjoy quality time together away from their parental responsibilities. This break marks a special and rare occasion for the couple, highlighting the significance of their journey as a family.

Singer Vanessa Mdee and her husband, fellow musician Rotimi, are currently enjoying a romantic getaway together.

Their journey into parenthood began in 2021 when the couple welcomed their first child, Seven Adeoluwa Akinosho, shortly after Vanessa's separation from Tanzanian singer Juma Jux. Adding to their family joy, their second child, Imani Akinosho, arrived in March 2023. Since then, Vanessa and Rotimi have been fully engaged in fulfilling their parenting responsibilities, and this romantic getaway serves as a well-deserved break for the couple.

Yet, in a series of clips shared on her Instastories, Vanessa revealed that she and Rotimi embarked on a couples' vacation, marking the first time they have done so without their children since becoming parents.

“Mama time much needed. Two babies in 3 years, first time away,” she wrote.

In a particular clip, the mother of two was delightfully unwinding in a jacuzzi, holding a drink in one hand.

During the moment, she shared that she hadn't consumed an alcoholic drink in over four years, expressing her satisfaction with this personal choice.

“Haven’t had an alcoholic beverage in almost four years, one of the best decisions I ever made. Thank you, God, for grace. These custom mocktails are fire,” she said, holding a mocktail- a non-alcoholic drink consisting of a mixture of fruit juices or other soft drinks- in her hand.

Further, the couple shared that they would celebrate Rotimi's birthday today, November 30.

“Birthday tomorrow. Pray and thank God for mercy, abundance, good health, family and for all this butterscotch,” Rotimi wrote on his Instagram.

Rotimi and Vanessa are renowned for their affectionate and openly loving relationship, never hesitating to display their deep connection.

On June 8, as Vanessa celebrated her 35th birthday, Rotimi showered her with love and pampering on her special day. The "Love Riddim" hitmaker fondly described his Tanzanian fiancée as an exceptional mother and an incredible partner.

“To a living legend, my best friend, a prayer warrior, the most beautiful woman, an incredible mother, and my partner. I love you so much. This journey with you has been a blessing from God. I’m so grateful to have you. You saved my life, and I’m forever here with you. Happy birthday, mama Imani ,” he wrote.

Responding to her man's message, Vanessa said:

“Now I’m crying. So blessed. I love you, my baby.”
