Members of Mbogi Genje, Smady Ting, and Guzman have come forward to defend themselves following allegations that they stole a motorcycle from Kayole, Nairobi.
In a social media post, Smady Ting claimed that the bike's owner had abandoned it and had followed him to his friend's home. When the motorcycle vanished later, he attempted to find someone to blame on.
Smady asserted that their success as artists made them an easy target for jealousy, with someone hoping to destroy their reputation and end their career.
The musician claims that the owner attacked them violently rather than waiting for an investigation, accusing them of being hasty to assign blame in the absence of proof and continuing to use violence even after the musician reported the incident to the police.
