Fredrick Mutinda, aka Brown Mauzo, a Coast-born singer, has revealed that his ex-wife, Vera Sidika, converted to Islam in order to win his heart.

In an interview with Nairobi News, Mauzo described his two children's mother's decision to change religion as a special act and a sign of love.

Vera Sidika, according to the singer, decided to change her religion for their marriage in order for them to become a Muslim couple.

"One day, she called me to explain her intention to change her religion and become a Muslim saying she wants us to be a Muslim couple. This was an important sacrifice she made for our relationship and I agreed," Brown Mauzo said.

The musician revealed that after the 34-year-old socialite converted to Islam, she took the name 'Zara.

"This action really touched my heart, and I discovered the truth behind her intentions in our relationship, although at first, I was skeptical, suspecting that it could be fake... The advent of the religious element made me take our relationship seriously," he said.

When Mpasho contacted her, the mother of two had an interesting reaction. Read it below;

Brown Mauzo announced at the end of August that he and Vera had agreed to separate for the sake of their children and themselves.

"Dear friends and followers, I wanted to take a moment to share some personal news.

After much thought, Vera Sidika and I have decided to part ways. Our journey together has been full of unforgettable moments, but we have reached a point that is best for us and our children, Asia Brown and Ice Brown, moving forward differently," Mauzo announced Wednesday.

"Our journey together has been filled with unforgettable moments, but we have reached a point where it is best for us and our children, Asia Brown and Ice Brown, to move forward separately," Brown Sales said.

"We want to thank you all for your unwavering love and support throughout our relationship. Your encouragement has meant the world to us. As we begin this new chapter, we ask for your understanding and respect for our privacy at this time."
