Although Samidoh is well-known for his work as a musician and police officer, many people may not be aware of his expulsion from the National Youth Service (NYS) during his pre-police service period.
During a previous interview with comedian Daniel Ndambuki, alias Churchill, Samidoh revealed that he was expelled from the NYS school in Gilgil, Nakuru County, for leaving the institution without permission.
Samidoh explained that his expulsion from NYS was a consequence of sneaking out to attend an Administration Police (AP) recruitment exercise in Nyandarua County.

“I sneaked out of NYS school in Gilgil and attended an Administration police recruitment in Nyandarua. However, I was not successful and had to go back to NYS, when I got there, they initially treated me like nothing had happened, but they knew I had sneaked out and later expelled me from the service,” he narrated.
Following his expulsion from NYS and missing out on the police recruitment drive, Samidoh returned to his home in Nyandarua. He then secured employment at a flower farm, working as a data entry clerk.
Undeterred by his previous setbacks, Samidoh remained determined to join the disciplined forces. Despite facing two unsuccessful attempts at Kenya Defence Forces recruitment due to his slender physique, he persevered and tried for a third time. This time, he succeeded and was selected to join the Administration Police (AP), a unit of Kenya's National Police Service (NPS).
Presently, Samidoh serves in the Administration Police (AP) while simultaneously thriving as an established musician and farmer at his residence in Nyandarua County. When questioned about why he continues to work as a police officer despite his success in the music industry, Samidoh explained that it serves as a reminder of the challenges he faced and overcame to achieve his current status.
As a member of the National Police Service (NPS), Samidoh has been assigned to diverse locations, including the Dadaab refugee camp in Garissa County, Mpeketoni in Lamu County, and Eastleigh in Nairobi County, among others.
