Comedian and celebrity from Kenya Mulamwah, also known as David Oyando, has announced his intention to sue Caroline Muthoni, also known as Carrol Sonie, for child abuse and defamation.

Mulamwah posted a notice on social media stating that on September 26, 2022, his advocates sent Carrol Sonie a parental responsibility agreement on his behalf.

He sent her another notice on February 1, 2023, since the agreement has not responded.

He alleges that Carrol Sonie has refused to give him access to his daughter and has instead persisted in defaming him on her YouTube channel.

According to the notice, Mulamwah is upset over a video on Carrol's YouTube channel on November 29, 2023, in which she said he was a deadbeat father.

The notice alleges that the statement is untrue because Carrol has repeatedly returned the money the comedian sent her without giving a valid explanation.

Parenting-wise, Carrol Sonie also renamed the child without her father's consent.

"Your accusations are untrue and detrimental to our client's personal and professional reputation as he is a public figure. Your defamatory statements have caused significant harm to our client's reputation among right-thinking members of the society. The consequences of your actions have been exposing our client to online bullying, ridicule, and threats of personal harm," read the notice in part.

Carrol Sonie has ten days to provide a copy of her birth certificate and a written justification for the name change, retract the false statement publicly, and remove all pictures and videos of her daughter from YouTube.
