Blogger Andrew Kibe has disclosed the amount of money he used to make from his content on YouTube. Kibe returned to Kenya after his channels were shut down in the US. 

Kibe revealed that he had six channels in an interview with Mungai Eve, but two of them had yet to begin bringing in money when they were abruptly shut down. 

According to the content creator, each channel generating income for him brought in roughly $10,000 per month or 1.5 million Kenyan shillings.

Kibe feels that some of his Kenyan blogger friends, envious of his success, conspired to get him reported to YouTube officials and banned even though he came to create his platform.


"They shut down all 6 channels, something bad that someone did. And I think it's you and your colleagues who did it. You joined together and said you would go report me. It's not just one person; I believe there were many people who came together after seeing jealousy for what I was earning from YouTube," Kibe said.

"I was making a lot of money. One channel was giving me at least $10,000 every month. Such a thing doesn't just happen by itself; I believe there are certain people who were jealous and went to report me to YouTube. All six of my channels went down," he added.

Kibe emphasized that those who were jealous of his success were the ones who brought down his channels, not copyright violations.
