Comedian Mammito Eunice has reacted to people criticizing her in her latest skit, where she teased Joseph Irungu alias Jowie hours after he was sentenced to death in the murder of businesswoman Monica Kimani.

The comical skit in which she played a musical instrument to Dolly Patron’s famous beat to the song Jolene ignited mixed reactions amongst netizens.

However, in her latest Instagram post, the comedienne is standing on business, saying people had united in roasting her for her looks instead of uniting to fight society's vices.

“I have a witnessed a very rare occurrence something that has not happened since 2002 people from every background uniting together for a reason, to cook me. It gives me hope for the future that one day we shall unite and fight against corruption and other things ailing our country. Am in hot fire now, my soul weeps . Iam but a small thin woman with no buttocks and am not as attractive, how dare I joke about a beautiful accused person , but your unity how it fills my soul!

The High Court judge, Lady Justice Grace Nzioka,  delivering the sentence on Wednesday, Justice Esther Nzioka indicated that the nature of the killing warranted the highest penalty.

She stated that Jowie was ineligible for rehabilitation as the crime was beyond restitution.

"Having considered the evidence in this matter it is the finding of this court that the prosecution has adduced adequate evidence and has met the threshold.... It is the finding of this court that the first accused person murdered the deceased," ruled Justice Grace Nzioka.

Kimani met a tragic end in 2018 when she was discovered dead at her residence in Lamuria Gardens Apartment, situated on Kitale Lane off Denis Pritt Road in Kilimani.
