In a departure from her previous presenter role, Kamene Goro has transitioned to the position of CEO at NRG Radio. The station unveiled the radio queen's new role across its social media platforms in April.

It's April Fool's Day, Kamene's new role might be a prank

Given that today marks April 1st, also known as Fool's Day, a portion of the fans speculate that this announcement might just be a clever stunt orchestrated by the station to prank its audience on this playful occasion.

Well, it is April Fool's Day, and in the spirit of the tradition, everyone is entitled to a bit of mischief.

On this April Fool's Day, mischief is the name of the game, and everyone is entitled to a bit of fun.

So, if Kamene has indeed taken on the role of CEO, then hearty congratulations are certainly in order! However, if it turns out to be a well-executed prank, then alas, dear fans, you've once again fallen for the playful antics of the day!

Kamene has risen to prominence in Kenya, thanks to her sharp wit, humor, and candid discussions on various topics on the radio.

Earlier this year, she bid farewell to Kiss 100 after three successful years.

Hosting the Kiss 100 morning show alongside comedian Oga Obinna, Kamene aired her final show on Friday, January 27, where she emotionally bid farewell to her fans.

Through tears, Kamene paid tribute to all the hosts she had collaborated with during her time at the station and expressed gratitude to her loyal listeners who tuned in every morning.

“Today marks the end of my journey here at Kiss FM, it's been like four years and three hosts and I'm ending it right here with Oga Obinna.

"To all of my fans who have always supported me, my mum and sister, may God bless you always,” Kamene said.

Speaking in an interview after her last show, Kamene said her contract had lapsed and she didn't find the need to renew it.

Kamene Goro's brief stint at NRG Radio

In April, Kamene Goro, alongside other prominent celebrities, generated excitement by disclosing their association with NRG Radio.

On April 26, Kamene Goro took to Instagram to share a post unveiling her forthcoming show and expressing her excitement. She also questioned her followers about their readiness for it.

However, the involvement turned out to be part of a one-day event organized to celebrate the fifth anniversary of the radio station.
