Jamaican reggae and dancehall musician Buju Banton has confirmed the passing of his 20-year-old son Miles Myrie.
The singer posted a cryptic message on his social media confirming the incident, saying, "Sip papa God knows."
Earlier this week, Jahazeil Myrie, another Buju Banton son, confirmed the devastating news to the Jamaican news site.
“We grew up together one ah the time, dem, and he always would motivate me to never give up. He was a very motivational person, no matter what. When he was younger, he wanted to be a judge, but as he got older, he got to love rapping, so he wanted to be a rapper," he added.
Several celebrities have sent their condolences to the Banton family.

Buju Banton, born on July 15, 1973, in Kingston, Jamaica, was raised in a big family with a strong cultural history. His mother named him "Buju," he took the moniker "Banton" in homage to his favorite childhood storyteller, Burro Banton.
